I shot this one helping out a great buddy of mine, Ray Sison (no relation). He’s actually a very talented graphic designer that has an equally impressive photographic eye.

Morgan and Thomas’ late August wedding happened right in between two major tropical storms, luckily enough the sun came through for us and really set the scene. With the exception of a few stray clouds and the late night downpour, it was all sun drenched windows and a big bright sky. Morgan and Thomas are both designers making for a very aesthetically pleasing wedding. They kept everything nice a simple, friends and family at the local riverside country club. Talk about making my life easier. Just take a look at Morgan’s bouquet. The thing was massive, and infinitely gorgeous. All the quirkiness and characters hanging around made it an absolute joy to shoot. With this wedding season coming to a close I definitely think this is going to be on I remember. Totally reminds me of this years summer. Check out the rest of the photos after the jump!

Every Thanksgiving I take the time to just shut down for a little bit and enjoy doing a whole lot of nothing. Come the following Monday I more or less feel like I’m ready to get my life in order. I think getting my life in order is going to take a bit more effort than before. But, I’m really hopeful in how things are going to turn out. I’ve got some ideas that, if they pan out, can really turn into something to show.

Anyway, one of the things on the to do list is to get working on a wedding I photographed the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. It was a small wedding done at the Hyatt in Jersey City, NJ. If there’s one thing I could say about it is that it was intimate. Candles and dimly lit interiors set the mood. It was a little frigid that day and it was really starting to feel like it was going to snow. This wedding definitely ended the 2010 Season on a high note. I can’t wait until the next one!

Sometimes while going through the archives I find an image that I wonder how it would look in black and white. This moment is from a wonderful little wedding I shot with Elizabeth Solaka in the summer. I enjoyed the color version, but I loved the monochrome conversion. It really isolated them from everything around them. Without the colorful flowers, the bright red bricks and the purple curtains there’s only one thing left to look at. I can’t imagine anything that could be as timeless as the emotions here. Photographs capture a lot more than beauty.

So it’s nearing midnight on a Rutgers’ Wednesday and I have an exam in the morning. I really should be studying frantically about Abnormal Psychology, but to be honest with you there is so much I would rather be doing. This last weekend I assisted a very pregnant Boss Lady document a wedding in New Salem, New York. It must have been a 2 hour drive total from here in New Brunswick. I haven’t had the time to look through these photos and the whole first half of the week I was trying to play catchup so I would get a chance to. I just couldn’t resist today, consequences for my exam will be clear, but I’m not too concerned. I really do hope there will be a time in my life where I would have ample amount of time to give to my photography.

I really don’t know what, if anything, I’ll do with my Major/Minor. Though, I do know what I want to be doing.
